Vaulks: 'I should have got married and been at the Euros'

Vaulks: “I did a chat with the Foundation. I should have got married and been at the Euros.

“It has been two pretty big things for me that have been cancelled.

“I’ll get married one day and hopefully have an opportunity to go to a major tournament.

“She didn’t take it too well! But what can you do? We were getting married abroad but even weddings here were getting cancelled.”






WILL VAULKS:



With two teams this close, is it an ideal set-up for a live game on TV?

Vaulks: “Sky must have predicted that to have it so late on in the season. I can’t wait for it.

“After last weekend we managed to put ourselves into a good spot in this mini-season.

“Both teams will be up for it. It’s a six-pointer.

“There will be loads of twists and turns on the way in but it won’t define our season this weekend.”

Leeds game a 'strange' experience but 'pleasantly surprised'

How are you finding it all?

Vaulks: “It’s obviously strange. I was pleasantly surprised with the Leeds game, how much it felt like a game.

“Once you’ve crossed the line you just focus on the game and we managed to do that.”

Vaulks: 'We were the underdogs against Leeds, but we were confident'

What’s the confidence like?

Vaulks: “Yeah, we fancied it last week. We were underdogs but we were confident.

“We got the win we felt we deserved to be fair.

“We’ve got another game which is probably bigger.”

'Everyone's opinion seemed to be that we were underdogs'

Underdogs?

Vaulks: “I don’t think we have been spoken about very much, even with the play-off places being so open.

“A lot of predictions were other clubs (in the top six). We have played one game, we’ve won nothing.

“Everyone’s opinion seemed to be that we were underdogs.

“I am not feeling pressure.”

A great ending to the season for you, which hasn’t always gone so well for you?

Vaulks: “If I am being truthful, he has just given me a chance.
