Jazz Richards, Omar Bogle and Matthew Connolly are set to leave Cardiff City in the coming days, but Danny Ward has penned a short-term contract extension for this season only,
Tuesday represented the deadline for out-of-contract players to extend their deals until the end of the delayed season, meaning if they did not then they would be free to speak with other clubs and would leave the Bluebirds next week upon completion of their current contracts.
It is understood Ward has signed terms until the end of the current campaign, but what the future holds for him thereafter is still unknown.
If the forward does depart the club, Neil Harris will be left with a dearth of options for that striker berth, with only Robert Glatzel and Callum Paterson the recognised senior options, given Isaac Vassell's continuing injury woes, which might see them dip their toe in the transfer market.
Richards, meanwhile, announced on Instagram that he would leave the Bluebirds after four years.
Harris confirmed Richards would be out of the Leeds United game last weekend with a calf injury, the latest injury setback after a hellish few years of fitness issues.
But Harris confirmed after the victory over Leeds that all parties believed that if Richards is to recapture his best form, he will need to leave the Welsh capital city club.
"We've had many a chat over the weeks gone by about his future and the fact it probably lies elsewhere," Harris said.
"So I am not massively surprised [he's decided to leave the club]. If he was fit, did he want to play? Yes. We've come to a joint-decision, because he is not fit at the moment and needs to think about where he goes next.
"He leaves on 30 June with our complete support and understanding and we wish him the best going forward."
Bogle, meanwhile, has been out on loan with Dutch club ADO Den Haag since January.
The Eredivisie announced their season had been curtailed back in April, meaning Alan Pardew's Den Haag, who were in a relegation battle, avoided the drop.
The striker is contracted there until June 30 but will not return to Cardiff City.
And then, finally, Connolly is also set to leave the club upon completion of his contract.
The defender has been an excellent servant to the club over the course of the last eight years but has been stricken with an ankle problem all season, meaning he has played no football.
Connolly, 32, has been working his way back to full fitness but it is hoped he will find a new club to kickstart his career.
