Veteran manager Neil Warnock is the new favourite with bookmakers Sky Bet to become the new Birmingham City boss.
Warnock, who has managed Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, QPR and Cardiff City among others, left the latter earlier this season in what he insisted would be his last in professional football.
The Yorkshireman has, though, prematurely called time on his career previously before being tempted back into management when offers have arisen.
Indeed back in October 2013, he was linked with a role as director of football at Blues - a job that didn’t exist!
Blues have begun the recruitment process in their search for a successor to Pep Clotet who will be vacating the post at the end of the season, the club confirmed on Monday.
To date, Trillion Trophy Asia’s managerial appointments have been unpredictable; they’ve opted for left-field signings like Steve Cotterill and Gianfranco Zola - indeed, Clotet himself perhaps drops into this category.
They’ve gone for the tried and tested, too - namely Harry Redknapp.
