I think there are statues in America and they after all were American soldiers.
but the cenotaph is to remember all those who gave their lives..
and most local war memorials remember the dead from that town/ district... its not ever crossed my mind that blackmen are excluded.

They’re not excluded.. there’s a memorial to the 700 or so Americans who died at Slapton Sands.. but the tank is not black, so obviously put there by some racist or other.
