John Hartson recalls the incident that left him fearing for his life as blood covered his whole body
Hartson was rushed to hospital where he required 48 stitches to seal the wound

Welsh football icon John Hartson has recounted the incident that left him fearing for his life two years ago.
Two years ago today, the former striker, who played 51 times for Wales, was involved in a freak golf buggy accident that resulted in him requiring 48 stitches over the top of his head.
Hartson was a passenger in a golf buggy as the driver hit the accelerator peddle instead of the brake.
It resulted in the vehicle crashing into a tree at speed, throwing Hartson out of the buggy, slicing his head open on the metal bar holding the perspex windscreen in place.
Hartson was then rushed to hospital.
Earlier today, he shared an image of the stitches and recalled his emotions that day.
"Sometimes in life we have these terrible ordeals that happen when you least expect it," he said.
"[I was] Heading to the 1st hole and 30 minutes later your head is split open from front to back. You're in the back of an ambulance being rushed to A and E.
"I thought I was dead, the blood covered my whole body.
"I feel blessed to still be alive after my cancer battle and then the golf buggy accident.
"It’s another traumatic incident that you can do without but people go through much worse. You pick yourself up and go again and hopefully avoid more traumatic times."

Wow he's had his fair share of bad times in life glad he's ok and a smile on his face fair play to him full recovery wishes big man

I have to admit, he's Jack I actually quite like. Remember the abuse he got at NP when he was playing for WBA, what's that coming over the hill, it's a fat Jack it's a fat Jack. He took it well fairplay to him.
