Covid spike in 2 weeks

Sun Jun 07, 2020 5:08 pm

To all those congregating for these unnecessary "protests" please remember in around 2 weeks time when the virus erupts again that you are all to blame!

Shame on you all for totally disregarding any and all guidelines to try and contain this global killer.

I really think that the sooner people are back in work the better. Also, it’s forecast rain for a few days now so that’ll clear the streets.

Our government is so clueless,

When there is a spike they will investigate why its affecting the bame community again

It's because BAME dont give a dam Boris

It's going to be interesting to see what happens in a couple of weeks time for sure.

If there is no spike can there be any justification for any type of lockdown continuing?

Surely if these mass gatherings don't lead to a spike then people going about their normal lives won't either.

On the other hand, if there is a spike will the government consider bringing a stricter lockdown back?

Not sure how they would do that without a large incidence of civil disorder as it seems people have made their own minds up about the situation rightly or wrongly.

Why oh why is Boris allowing this in a lockdown

Why should anyone now respect the lockdown

I will as I'm law abiding, care about others man, but many will say fxxk it

And if they do and then get fined, are we looking at serious civil disorder, how can these cretins break lockdown, cause damage and get away with it ?? Yet many folk been fined for being out more than once a day to exercise before the easing of the restrictions, that is

If Boris dont fast this will not end well

That's the problem mate, Boris is not strong enough to be PM

But who is at the moment, Keir Starmer is just a younger version of Corbyn, another useless tool

I thought Boris would have a pair of balls to deal with these idiots after Brexit

What hope for normal youngsters got with the PC middle class, save the world lot.

How and why this is happening for yes an appalling murder, we get that, but its 3000 miles away for fxxks sake

With the Premier league starting next week and the EFL the week after, I think it's very likely a lot of fans will congregate outside certain grounds where games are being played. I wonder if "the authorities" will stand by and just let it happen.

No chance, and in fairness they shouldn't allow them to either!

Protests should have been treated the same, distance or get arrested for breach of the peace, stop pussyfooting around these bellends, they will put us back in lockdown and ruin life for the rest of us!

Second spike due to protests? We 'hold our breath', says minister

Policing minister Kit Malthouse said the country would have to "hold our breath" on a possible rise in coronavirus cases, following the mass gatherings over the weekend for the anti-racism protests.

His comments came after scientists predicted that one in 600 people have the virus.

When put to him on BBC Radio 4's Today programme that such a ratio meant Covid-19 would have been spread by protesters, Mr Malthouse said: "That's certainly the danger we are running at.

"We will all have to hold our breath over the next couple of weeks to see exactly what the impact has been. It is very unfortunate.

"As we have said right from the start, we urge people not to participate on public health grounds, notwithstanding the obvious strength of feeling that they have."

The Government failed woefully to protect the nation's health by allowing these ILLEGAL mass gatherings to take place

No good now saying "fingers crossed" in a few weeks we don't have a massive rise in cases of the virus.

These selfish lunatics have yet again jumped on the latest bandwagon to have a mob march!!

With us having such a weak goverment these moron protesters will carry on doing what ever they like, but if 2 football supporters even from the same club were to start pushing each other then they would end up in court and have a criminal record to go with it, its just not right

Hiya chief hope you are well
Firstly this virus can’t survive in The suns rays and also not in water. Those out in the sun are getting one of nature’s best defences against viruses and that is vitamin D from the sun. Followed by the feel good factor from mental health issues.
Now put that in context of mr joe public that stay home. Stale air in your own home and remember not everyone has gardens, Close proximity to other people. Also mental health issues being locked up and the fact being scared / frightened all lowers your immune system compared to those who are getting on with their lives.
No I can safely say those at the beach will be fine. As far as I can see end all restrictions if you feel so scared there is nothing wrong with carrying on with your isolation and let the rest of us live our lives. And that means going back to normal.
And I’m speaking as someone that has two very elderly parents and a wife with MS who is now realising she has had a right titsful of this whole saga.
