I despair...but am not surprised.

It's a statue of a slave owner (Robert lee) so is an obvious target for protesters, not that it should even bee there in this day and age imho.just my opinion.

My aplogies,this is a different one,to the one on another thread,but I have to say,I've seen this o many statues and monuments around Europe, and even a few vandalised this way I turkey too.it's today's society by the looks of it,no idea of their history, so it doesn't matter if they vandalise monuments or staues,even in Egypt, I witnessed two Russians cocktail their legs over a chained area,and walk all over the coral underneath their feet!! Although it didn't end well for them two,as armed police frog marched them off(don't know their fate).
