Hundreds attend London lockdown party with DJ booth

Hundreds of people were at an unlicensed party in east London breaching lockdown rules on Saturday night.

Met Police officers were called to Springfield Estate in Clapton at about 21:00 BST where a large number of people had gathered.

Footage shows a DJ booth was set up and those who attended were not socially distancing by keeping two metres apart.

A small number of arrests were made for various offences and a Taser was used on one person who was arrested. Offences included assault on an emergency worker and breach of the peace.

As I've said on here before there are some communities in East London where adolescent groups haven't adhered to any aspect of the lockdown from day one. It made little difference to the groups sometimes quite large that hang around the parks and on street corners.

Yes that's really strange.

Also there was a massive fuss a while ago about people in London being crammed into tube trains and buses to go to work with TFL being criticised for not putting on enough transport and yet the figures in London are meant to be going down.

Will we ever know what is really going on?

Also apparently there was a similar gathering in Cardiff today?

How ironic is this ? Black lives matter more than Covid 19 deaths

George Floyd: Hundreds protest outside Cardiff Castle

Hundreds of people demonstrated in support of the Black Lives Matter movement following the death of George Floyd in police custody in the US.

The action at Cardiff Castle was organised following the death of unarmed Mr Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on 25 May.

There has been serious civil unrest across the USA sparked by the 46-year-old's death.

Ex-policeman Derek Chauvin, 44, is charged with murdering Mr Floyd.

Mr Chauvin, who is white, was shown in footage kneeling on Mr Floyd's neck. He and three other police officers have been sacked.

He is due to appear in court on Monday.

In Cardiff, the protesters sat peacefully in the city centre displaying 'Black Lives Matter' and 'Say their names' placards.

Hope not,as there have been a fair few Muslim funerals in this country, where there were over 100 people in attendance (the rule at the time was a max of 10 people in attendance ) and none of these were issued fines? And this is not a dig at Muslims either, but we cannot keep applying this "one law for us" rule,a beach of lockdown, sadly including funeral numbers is a breach, and unless all are fined, then none should be fined? :old: :bluebird:

its not just the authorities and fines.. its the general attitude with people being extremely selective at what they are melting down over....yes mate there have been hundreds if not thousands of these mass gatherings which have gone unreported..
