" Cardiff City staff member tests positive for COVID-19 "

Following the completion of the third round of testing for COVID-19 this week at the club’s Vale training base, a member of staff has tested positive for Coronavirus.

The staff member, who will not be named due to medical confidentiality, will now undertake a period of self-isolation in accordance with EFL and government guidelines.

Training under the principals laid out in phase one of the EFL’s return to training protocol took place as scheduled on Saturday.




In the Championship as a whole, ten individuals tested positive from eight clubs.

Let's hope whoever it is will be fine. I find it strange that this person can't be named because of confidentiality and yet players and staff from other clubs have been named. Not that it's a problem, just odd.

They can be named if the person gives permission.
