Absolutely!!
If I'm not mistaken wasn't Stephen Kinnock allegedly involved in something similar.
It's absolutely true what my late dad used to tell me when we talked politics - ''They're ALL as bad as each other and I wouldn't trust ANy of them!'' :old:

Yes Stephen Kinnock during the height of the lockdown drove from West Wales to London, to wish his Father Neil Kinnock a happy Birthday, this is why Labour have not called for Cummings to resign

I'm not much interested in labours position to be honest. I'm more angry with the partial approach by the media. Kinnock was aided and abetted in breaking the rules that day by his wife, The former Prime Minister of Denmark. They visited Mum and Dad, both current members of nobility and both former "responsible" members of the political establishment in Britain and Europe. How has that received so little attention ?

I don't like Blackford, he's my least favourite politician in Westminster now Bercow and Soubrey have gone. I wouldn't however condemn him for that initial trip home. I wouldn't even condemn that he isolated ( his words ) at home to protect his wife and family as he was exposed to an increased risk in London. I assume he showed equal consideration of those he may have shared public transport with. Given that he lives so far from Westminster, I would however, be pissed off if it turns out he's ignored the instruction to work from home wherever possible and returned to London even the once. Has he back to London, has he been travelling back and fore ? Nobody's asking.

I don't want to, but going back to Cummings. Has the second trip to Durham established or was it indeed fabricated by the press.

the public and media reaction to Kinnock was very much we all make mistakes..
absolute opposite for Cummings who committed the crime of the century...

I totally get the "we all make mistakes" bit,but these are people in leading posistions, who should be sending out the right messages, each and every one named should at the very least be fined,as are all the others who have"made a mistake" or ,if their actions are deemed acceptable, squash all the fines of the public,as otherwise it's a clear case of "one law for them, and one for the rest of us" by not fining any of them,it sets a precedent for other "flouters" to use the same shit excuses of those in government have got away with. :old: :bluebird:

Difference is Cummings is pro Brexit Kinnockio is very much an EU cheerleader, that explains the massive difference in how both were covered in the media. BBC still haven’t given up hope of reversing Brexit and see getting Cummings out the way as helping that.

Kinnock an elected member of parliament held his hands up and was sorry. That was enough for me but not for all I'll admit.

Cummings,an unelected and answerable to no-one but Boris(you know the type a lot of you bitched about and used it as an argument to leave europe)takes the piss and looks like hes got away with it.Comes up with a Dianne Abbot like excuse about driving to test his eyes.Believes the lockdown rules are for everyone else and not him.

The funny thing is if he'd have held his hands up and said I'm sorry I was worried about my kid and my head was in the shed or words to that effect this would have blown over without anything like the fuss.He didn't though and like it or not the PM's credibility has taken a bad knock.

Now that's Hippocrasy

Ian Blackford is one of the most comedic MP's in the Houses of Parliament. For the last few years he has been banging on about how other MP's are hypocritical and now he becomes one himself...

Jock would have a better understanding of the man but I do chuckle when at every opportunity, he starts any question/response with "We in Scotland..." :laughing6:

no mate this is hypocrisy. ..he was guilty of being Dominic Cummings , this has zero to do with what he did. of proof. or of guilt and everything to do with WHO he is and a group of angry people pushing an agenda
all the info printed about Kinnock was accurate as it came from Kinnock himself via his social media.. or at least it was accepted without question or a witch hunt ..or the met running number recognition checks with neighbours interviewed...no Police at all except a tweet....
with Cummings the initial stories that got pushed were not exactly accurate or balanced . he went to his fathers HOME more than once. was spotted by numerous witnesses out walking including at Barnard Castle .. well it was once and not the property where his father lived. the multiple witnesses turned out to be { bar1 } people reporting Cummings for being walking in a woods { on his fathers land ffs } and there was no mention by any journo that he has an autistic son either. yet they all do know ?
id be in the sack him school of thought had the original story been accurate.. and would be again if there was real evidence of any real wrong doing . .. I changed my mind because the initial stories were huge exaggerations.. and im 100% sure this will turn as more and more give the reality real consideration...the population might be quick to react but they are also generally reasonable.....

anyway nice to see you post, and hope you had your eyes sorted... ive wondered a number of times, no doubt the other human beings on here have too....
