Just saw on the morning news it's the tenth week tonight and that they think it should be the last week, rather than leave it fizzle out?
Would you agree or should it carry on?

My circumstances are different to most.
I've not bothered clapping them and shall continue not to. I say end it now.

Stopped weeks ago,was turning into a curtain twitching exercise on who hasn’t come out.

I think it has been a positive event and brought some communities together, but feel it's right to end it now, and that it is better to end rather than let it fizzle out.

Nobody has really explained why it has to be done outside other than it's part of the "look at me" society we live in nowadays.
If you want to show your appreciation by clapping fair enough but why not do it inside your own house?

Don’t be daft mate. A clap on the street so everyone can see you means nothing.

Have to disagree with you. It's a visible show of support and NHS workers and carers greatly appreciate it. I'm sure they'd appreciate a decent and much deserved pay rise even more but once all this is done it will probably be business as usual.

Doctors and nurses stage silent protest during final 'Clap for Carers'
To mark the final installment of “Clap For Carers”, a group of doctors and nurses have staged a silent protest outside the gates of Downing Street.
The medics will be observing a 237 seconds silence – one second for every health and social care worker who has died so far during the pandemic.
Despite ongoing concerns from doctors and nurses, the government’s PPE policy continues to contradict World Health Organisation (WHO) guidance and puts health care and social care workers at risk, say the protesters.

Clap For Our Carers organiser: 'Tonight is the last time I will clap for the NHS and key workers'
Annemarie Plas started Clap For Our Carers from her home in Streatham, London.
Now, after more than two months of pot banging and street-side whooping, the 36-year-old yoga instructor and sales representative, is applauding tonight for the last time.

Have to say you are right

bbc radio wales (Wynne evans show) has been doing a cheer for champions, since before this clap for carers even started, and my wife and I clap wherever we are in the home, only once we did it outside, and it certainly seemed to me that it was whom could clap the loudest with the one in question.wynne evans even phones up one person who has been nominated for champion of the day! This daily(mon/fri) cheer is for any worker in any field of work, who has gone above and beyond, with what they do.my wife and I nominated her sister who works at Llandough hospital, it cheered her up no end,to be champion of the day.personally I think it's a fab way of letting those who deserve some kudos, which they rarely receive.
