Boris bottled it

Hang your head in shame. Absolutely bottled the deserved sacking of his lacky Cummings.

What he said was absolute rubbish, you can fool all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the peple all of the time :banghead:

Boris Johnson backs Dominic Cummings

Boris Johnson says he is going to begin by answering "the big question" by answering whether No10 has been asking the public to follow the guidelines "while senior people here in Government do something else".

Have some people been "basically flouting" the rules, he asks?

"I can tell you today I have had extensive face to face conversations with Dominic Cummings, I have concluded that in travelling to find the right kind of care at the moment when both he and his wife were about to be incapacitated by coronavirus, and when he had no alternative, I think he followed the instincts of every father.

"I do not mark him down for that."

I think they both should go now.

And of course all his wifes relatives and all their friends living in London are not suitable, and he was not incapacitated as he had covid19 over a monthy ago what a load of bollux!

Agree Roger - Can't wait for the questions coming his way - Going to make matters worse .

Re: Boris bottled it

It seems some can do as they like. Adhering to the guidelines that they helped draw up has got the majority of the public in isolation.

Unbelievable.

What else did anyone expect?

Politicians are by definition morally bankrupt.

Wouldn't recognise a value if it bit them on the arse

Morally bankrupt indeed.

Credibility plays a massive part. Boris just lost any he had.

UK to move to lockdown stage two 'in coming days'

Mr Johnson says as we mourn people who have died, "we strengthen our resolve to beat this virus".

He has been clear he would lift lockdown in a "safe and controlled way", but the UK is ready to move to step two of the lockdown plan "in the coming days".

"In line with the approach being taken in many other countries, we want to start getting our children back into the classroom," he says.

Good luck with that 1 - People will now chose what they want to do ....Some already have ;)

It's not the "UK" moving to stage two though is it?

Krankie hasn't even moved to stage one yet and Drakeford is still at stage minus three.

I am totally aware we are 4 nations - All not working together - but the public can work together to what they want to do.
Rules have gone out the window for some as a result of this - Bank Holiday let's see what happens in the next 24 hrs .

Really can't do what they want in Wales though can they?

Try taking a trip to Pen-y-fan tomorrow and see how far you get. Fancy a trip to Pembrokeshire? Good luck with that.

It was easier to get onto the beach at Dunkirk than it is at Barry Island at the moment.

davids - look i know again we are 4 nations and someone should tell Boris to start using the word England and not UK .
As for Wales or Scotland - N.Ireland - People are now going to do as they please - weather their are rules in or not .
As i said watch the next 24 hrs - Yes we not allowed as you say - But rules will be broken even more now .
Not so much going to the beach etc - but seeing family - mates - Garden parties - All these would be what i am on about .
