AFTER READING AND LISTENING TO THIS ON SKY THIS MORNING.
SHOULD PLAYERS HELP MORE ?
SHOULD THE BIGGER CLUBS ?
HOW DO WE SAVE THESE CLUBS?
I just watched the Chairman of Tranmere Rovers Football Club.
He said: " We have survived so far, but like many other lower league clubs, we survive on crowds/gate money etc "
"Come June and onwards this is when big decisions will have to be taken."
Asked about players helping out, taking pay cuts: "We did ask like other clubs, but the PFA, said NO."
"So as the months go on, clubs like ours will have to make even more bigger decisions on our playing squads."
"A lot of clubs will stubble down that road to insolvency."
"It was hard enough before to survive, but now we have no income at all coming in."
"The future for the lower league clubs looks very bleak."

Apart from the elite game this is a massive wake up call.
Paying championship players £500k,000 ~ £2,000,000 a year will be a thing of the past
