He has been promoted with his army rank already which would mean a lot more to him than this so called
knighthood rubbish

They have totally watered down and ruined the relevance of being awarded a knighthood and it means nothing anymore. When people like David Beckham and Angeina Jolie have the honour you know it no longer has the same meaning. That is now for washed up celebrities and singers .

Give him a top Army rank like general or Field Marshall if they want as that would be something he could be really proud of.

You're right.

The meaningfulness of a knighthood was taken away when certain people were given them. Ex Prime Ministers often honour their advisors these days which makes it even worse.

I'm not a fan personally anyway, because I'm not a supporter of the Royal Family and consider myself a Republican so possibly not in a position to say something but just my opinion.
