Sadly there are many idiots who ignore advice and do many dat things all over the world,

Seems a no brainer for me, the controversy over masks is insane. Wear one and it will help to stop both you being infected or you infecting others. It may not work 100% but it most definitely helps. Thing is my wife thinks I’m such an ugly bassa I should continue wearing one even after the pandemic is over.

They might not know they have it

Masks are only way to give some sort of reassurance on public transport, it is blatantly obvious social distancing is unrealistic and impossible to have on public transport when more people go back to work and shops open up! May not be perfect but until a vaccine is found (big if ) only logical thing is to wear masks on public transport.

Just ban public transport and make people drive instead or get a bike and ride it to work.

Therein lies the crux wez,how would you know you have it,as you may be feeling fine! I think it's the right thing to do,looking at pics of the tubes etc,being busy.I think the wearing of a mask is mainly a precaution, in case you may have it,thus protecting others.as there is a 14 day window where you or the guy next to you may be in the very early stages of it? Just my take on the subject.

This should be a must. The UK is worlds worst at listening to rules, but simply police should be present and no mask no travel simple. Anyone not listening gets arrested on spot .
It’s time this country had some legal force and make people abide by rules like the rest of the world

Like 8 said would stop peolle transmitting it if they know it or not

Dr H, more or less says they are a waste of time for the person wearing as the droplets get through and around, but they may protect other people as when you breathe or cough/sneeze they may reduce the distance carried.

Personally I would prefer to not wear the mask and not get on any public transport because that's where it will spread and you're likely to get it, so avoid unnecessary risk wherever possible.

Walk, bike, travel in your own car and don't go by taxi, bus, train, plane, and don't go into a hospital or a care home and you'll most likely be fine
