Seems like the Spanish bloke is doing a reasonable job and certainly better than the buffoon Boris and the prick down the Bay.

Interesting how people can say the Spanish guy did a good job when they like other European countries have not included most of there care home deaths or deaths out of hospital. They only started care home deaths from the end of April. The toll for Spain will be much higher when all is revealed which is poor given the population size. After Belgium they are second on the deaths per capita list which gives a better idea how countries have done
Italy , Spain , France and the UK have all been pretty similar in cases and deaths and only time will tell who got it right and wrong. I'm not sure what else Boris could have done and he certainly did no worse than this Spanish guy did regardless of lockdown rules.
Spain locked down 11 days before us in the UK . 11 days ago they were on very similar death numbers as we are now . So the different lockdowns in the two countries made little effect either way. In fact given our much bigger population its debatable that we actually did better over all as in 11 days time I would expect us to be in the low hundreds as well
But that arguement is for 6 months time when all the facts and proper figures are out in the open

Thomas,
I put out the other day, Spain include all home care deaths.
Plus UK 2 weeks behind Spain and really am very very very worried for the UK.
Also Italy and Spain offered advice etc turned down .
Sorry but ye Sanchez has been a great / strict Pm in Spain .

Yes they do now but only since the end of april as the Spanish daily figures do not show any jumps in numbers being backdated.
How many died before that and how many outside of hospital ?
They started lockdown on the 16th March and only included deaths in care homes on official figures from the 23rd April. That is over 5 weeks of care home deaths not registered on the figures . Plus add in all the home deaths and the true figure of spain will probably be over 5000 higher.
The UK alone has included over 3000 home deaths to the tally which other countries have not.
It's not just spain its other countries aswell
Its harsh on our government to be attacked for being honest .
If we take out all Care home deaths and home deaths from before April 23rd and start our total at that point we would have a tally of around 27000 deaths which is very similar to Spain and Italy.
I dont think any of them have done a particularly good job but it's a very hard situation to manage
