What a shambles

Sky News:

Metropolitan Police say "all 44 charges under the Corona virus acts brought in, are all in correctly and all will have to be thrown out." CPS have confirmed this.

"We encourage social distancing, we can only ask politely."

Is there law to support COVID 19 social distancing?

Is there law to keep people at home?

Ian,

But Boris now does not say stay at home, he now says stay alert.

44 is a tiny percentage of those fined...there are always going to be a small number of wrongful arrests no matter what its regarding..

Anti-lockdown protest in Hyde Park

Around three dozen people have gathered in Hyde Park to protest against the coronavirus lockdown.

Standing close together near Speaker's Corner, several held placards and banners including slogans like "freedom over fear" as police, including some on horseback, looked on.

David Samson, 50, who said he works in finance, said he came because "I never thought I'd see in my generation the suppressing of civil rights" over a "fake virus".

There was a large round of boos when one protester was taken away in handcuffs by police.

Several hundred protest against lockdown in London

Tom Symonds

Home Affairs Correspondent

Several hundred people have been protesting against the lockdown in Hyde Park in central London.

Scotland Yard said six people had been arrested as of 14:00 BST (13:00 GMT). Piers Corbyn, the brother of the former Labour leader, was among those taken into custody.

The protesters said they objected to their rights of free speech and movement being curtailed by the regulations introduced to control coronavirus. One group chanted "no 5G" and "no vaccines".

The protest was one of a number around the country resulting from flyers distributed on social media.

Not 44 arrests

Arrest them all. Law breakers. This isn't a fascist state, far from it. Vast majority of people abiding by the essential lockdown measures. These rent a mob protesters live a cause to create about.

On the spot fines still happening?

Precisely what are you going to charge them with ????? Were they violent or unreasonably abusive? On what grounds were they arrested, detained and charged?I look forward to that court case unless the CPS see it for what it is bullshit? I feel sorry for the police they have an impossible task !!

That's very true Annis, but in Wales, the slogan has remained (for now) people have the right to plain and SIMPLE rules, and new laws if they are new laws, but this government has been as weak as a kitten on this issue from day one!! £60 fine ffs :laughing5: look how that same amount of fine worked for using mobile while driving  most people rarely read the instructions on a flat pack item, let alone a 50 page short novel (no pun intended ).on what and what you can't do!! We are an island of three nations, and we should all be either in,or out of lockdown together, wasn't that a slogan being used? We are all in this togefher" RIGHT :sleepy2: :old: :bluebird:
