It was clear to everyone apart from people who do not like him.

Fair play to the man in less than a year as Prime minister hes had more to deal with than most have in two terms.

He has had to deal with the biggest financial and political issue this country has ever faced in Brexit

He faced a worldwide pandemic killing hundreds of thousands worldwide

Hes been hospitalised in intensive care with Covid 19

Hes become a father again

And he is still fighting on trying as hard as he can when really he should be resting still

He deserves more respect than he is given he has one of the hardest jobs in the world and hes doing a excellent job of it .

He wasn't elected by the people,is a bumbling buffoon, and no matter who were in charge of the country,he knew the stakes as far as brevity, ran and one the leadership contest. And on the intensive care issue,I have it on good authority, to need intensive care means exactly that, and uually entails intubation, or at least c.pap, breathing aperatus ,something they were keen to say,he never needed? Or was he put there because off who he is? ? It's not that I dislike the man,I have no real affiliations with any party, but my opinion is he could have done a great deal better, like the care home saga just for one!! :old: :bluebird:

I think you will find he WAS elected by the people in last years election.

To be on intensive care means you are being watched intensively on a special ward. It does not mean you have to have breathing apparatus. He would have definitely had some form of that though. Of course he was put on the ward because of who he is, he is the leader of our country and would command the best medical help possible.

Could he have done better ? Possibly but we wont know until this is all over, the only fact so far really is that China did not notify the world or close themselves down quickly enough to stop this happening in the first place. The blame should be placed on them not Boris. By the time it hit us it was too late and let's be fair full and partial lockdowns have proven to have very similar outcomes.

That is absolute rubbish, intensive care is for people who need intensive care, I have been a patient in intensive care and I am lucky to be alive today, I did not need any of the above to help me breathe, I had Sub-acute bacterial endocarditus. so I am talking from experience not ( I have it on good authority) Also I have nursed people in intensive care and not everyone has needed help in breathing. A lot of heart attack (laymans terms) patients end up in intensive care and beside the care oxygen is all that they required. People come on here stating things that are patently untrue, I just wish they would not listen to rumours and conspiracy theories! I could say a lot more!

Macron gave exactly the same advice to the French and was supported by the French media. Sadly we have publicly funded bodies like the BBC and Ch4 whose hatred of the Conservatives means no matter what they say or do they’ll look for ways to undermine them.

Thomas, I Totally once again disagree with you as I actually always liked Boris and backed him, BUT I feel he has done a bad job on this whole virus situation and have explained it a 100 times, but when I do everyone disappears and fail to reply to my 40 questions

I still prefer Boris then any of the others.

I just think the pressure the guy must be under is immense.

He is getting it from all angles whilst having to recover from a bad bout of this virus himself and just becoming a father

Hes had the two biggest issues this country had faced since the war in his first year of office since being elected

Nobody really knows how to deal with this issue, every country ate guessing and hoping they do enough and choose the right path

The think the guy deserves some support and I dont particularly like him or his party.

The only mistake I see so far is we closed the country too late but that would have been on the advice of scientists. If he is being told it wont make a difference by the best scientists in the country who is he to overturn the advice and go against them ? Maybe its them who we should be questioning as they are the ones giving the advice

If a player makes a mistake on the pitch he gets the blame not the manager or the owner

I dont disagree, i think some things the Gov have done right and well and others things not so well. Never been much of a Boris fan but i think no matter who was in charge it was going to be tough.

But the point above was i dont understand why people thought his speech was confusing. i get some people might not agree with it but it was still pretty clear.

Drakeford just set his out and it couldn't have been more vague and lacking in information.

i think we will only know which countries did it right in a year or so when we look af deaths and the economy.

He's talking bollocks again, his "good authority" usually really means "some shit someone made up". I have also been in intensive care, after a heart attack and at no time did I have any of that.
