Typical washing machine decides to pack up in a lockdown.
Got a Siemens xlm washing machine, it goes through the cycle, but doesnt drain - so wont spin. I have to drain it manually and then it spins ok. I checked there is nothing blocking the pump etc.
Anyone know what else I can check or do ? - I dont think it's the brushes or pcb issue - it's just that it wont drain.

Silly I know but has the drain pipe moved, because if the end of the pipe is not lower than the machine pump, or the pipe itself has dropped down a bit then it will not drain!

I know what you mean, but nothing has changed re the setup of it - BUT - the hose seems to come out drop down and then loop back up before going down the outlet pipe. I think the only way is to get the washing machine out and then disconnect the outlet hoses and have a look.

I know a bit about this a i had the same problem, if your outlet hose comes out, drops down before going back up that is the problem why it will not drain, it sounds to me that it has has moved, adjust it so that it goes straight into the outlet pipe, it maybe you may have to feed it deeper into the outlet pipe, sometimes this pipe does move a bit

Cheers
I just pulled it out of the outlet pipe and blew down it - I could hear water gurgling etc. So... I got the hoover attachment - stuck it over the end - and by the powers of molecular suction - a load more water came out - was like the washing was being sick....
It's all clear now - so will sort out the out pipe route later - hopefully that's it all sorted
