Boris mentioned doubling the fines?

What from Wednesday can you actually be fined for ?

Boris also said

Unlimited exercise away from your area and you can now go and sun bathe in the park or travel etc in them?

You can even travel to beaches.

You can play football in the parks.

Boris also said please if you can, will you not stay at home and go back to work and avoid public transport, use your car.

Go to work tomorrow, no go Wednesday now

If they don’t understand how can we:

Andrew Brudgen Conservative MP ( Leicester) said yes go and visit your family, but I don’t speak for the Govt, you could not make it up

He said details would be revealed tomorrow. I assume it's being in a group with people who do not live in your house.
The only real difference now is that you can go and sit in a park or beach as long as you distance yourselves which will be impossible on a hot weekend as everyone will want to go and do the same thing.

Be very interesting what you can actually get fined for as it was hard enough for the police to do that in the last 6 weeks.

They were actually told to do a softly softly approach.

More mixed messages again - People in England now think they can drive to Wales and sit in a park or the seaside .

'People will be fined for driving to exercise in Wales'

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has relaxed the exercise rules in England saying can people “drive to other destinations" for a walk.

But the Welsh Government's Counsel General Jeremy Miles has said this is not the case in Wales.

"Our regulations do not permit people to get in their car and drive to destinations in Wales," said Mr Miles.

"And that also means people getting in their cars in England."

Mr Miles says the police in Wales "absolutely have the power to fine" people for making non-essential journeys and not exercising near their homes.

Fines for breaching lockdown to be doubled

fines for breaching coronavirus regulations will rise from £60 to £100 under the plans set out by Boris Johnson. Payment of the fine within 14 days will reduce the sum to £50, up from the present £30.

Repeat offenders will see the fine double for each subsequent breach to a maximum of £3,200.

It is unclear whether this applies to England and Wales or England only.

Turn it round the other way
How many people will jump in the car from wales and head to England for a full day out ?

I'm not sure what everyone is worried about . Why would people in England go to wales and get turned around when they can go anywhere else and spend all day without a issue ?

It's more likely the welsh are going to break the rules than the English in my opinion

I'm guessing there will be police at the main crossing points (Severn Bridges, M50 etc) stopping people from both entering and leaving Wales?

I know it's not possible to close every cross border road but the main roads will be surely be roadblocked by the Welsh police forces?

Police chief: We need crystal clear guidance not loose rules

John Apter, the national chair of the Police Federation of England and Wales, says the work of the police must be based on "crystal clear guidance, not loose rules that are left open to interpretation".

Apter calls on the government must provide "clear and unambiguous messaging and guidance", adding that any lack of clarity "will be grossly unfair on officers whose job is already challenging".

He says the UK government's changes in England follow "a week of mixed messages and the release of some information which, fuelled by media speculation, meant many people acted as though the lockdown had already ended".

"If the message of what is expected of the public is not clear, then it will make the job of policing this legislation almost impossible," he says.

The uk or should I say the English government have got it wrong, why didn’t the UK follow other countries, who had the virus first,i know it’s unfair to tarnish all the English people the same, but it’s understandable why the English are hated around the world, not intending to offend anyone but the arrogance being shown about this virus is baffling to me

I really dont underatand why anyone with hearing and sight have any confusion. The rules differ from England to Wales but they are still very clear with more info to come in England. I find the political point scoring going on over social media poor.

Pretty sure he said social distancing continues. So I imagine breaking that.

Can't remember him announcing that gatherings are ok? Pretty sure he said about 10 times they weren't.

Isn't that the whole reason to stay home?

He did say social distancing must continue other than families who can now play football in parks.

My point is there is not much the police can actually fine you for and they have had to be soft so far even when people take the mick.

Boris says double in fines , but reading on tv. Twitter police forces say they struggled before and now it’s even more confusing for them.

I was a big Boris fan before the virus and I still like many things about him , but I honestly think he does make it complicated for. Police/ authorities to act.

And the morons out there ruin it for the good people by taking advantage of it.

For the 4th time on here -I post what comes across as good or bad in some peoples eyes etc..
As i do not follow any party so it's not political points scoring / or hear what i want to hear and post .
I use my eyes and ears - then post what the "Streetwise " in me sees and decides ( IMO ) .

Of course. Let's hope these fines more than double!! And that the minority of morons get it hard.

But for the families who now walk in the park together, social distancing safely, enjoy it (the cold and rain this week).

Shouldn't be too hard to spot groups of non same-household hanging out.

As with a lot of this though (as it is being made up on the fly) I'm sure clarity will follow.

I have always believed in bigger fines.

What do you expect from a pathological liar who is clearly out of his depth. As Max Hastings once said he could not grasp a brief
let alone complex issues. This clown runs the UK what an indictment on our country.
