Monday could be crunch time for English Premier League clubs, when they meet to discuss 'Project Restart' - how the league will conclude its 2019-20 season.

There are 92 games still to be played and it is expected they will held at neutral venues in order to reduce the chances of fans gathering nearby.

Watford, Brighton and Aston Villa have said they are opposed to the idea of using neutral venues.

Speaking on the Andrew Marr Show, Steve Parrish, the Crystal Palace chairman, said: "There are no easy answers, we have to work through it as a collective and I think we will and come out with a consensus in the end."

It was expected there would be a formal vote on Project Restart on Monday, but the vote has been delayed.

I know your feelings on the issue mate but what makes you think it will happen?

I think for that to happen they will have to pay extra to the relegation threatened sides to make them take the gamble. Otherwise they will just suppose it to stay in the premier league and keep the money.
Finance shouldn't come before health but not everyone has that mindset especially multi million pound football clubs

Andrew,

If they don’t do it behind close doors and they decide by Governing bodies etc
What ever happens then some clubs would sue.

Even if this is in a few months time I can only ever see them deciding on the pitch.

Personally, in my opinion it should not happen for a long time, but that’s my view.

Annis, I 100% agree. There will be a risk however they decide to do it but if it happens, it has to be behind closed doors otherwise it’ll be an absolute minefield.

I just believe now that they value money so much more than the fans and players. It’s all they care about.

Why would they have to pay extra to the relegation sides, it is not up to those sides to decide what happens, if and when they decide that the games are going to be played, when it is safe for them to be played, behind closed doors, then those sides who could be relegated would have to play the games, if they do not play them, then they could be bombed out of the premier as they would fail to complete their fixtures! There is FA precident for teams not fullfilling fixtures!

Whatever solution the authorities come up with a club somewhere will think it's unfair and threaten to sue.

I honestly believe that this season should be scrapped and restarted from the beginning only when it is safe to do so. If some clubs wish to sue then let them waste their money as no court is going to rule that money out ranks public health.

That's so true. With All the people who have died and those front line warriors who have literally given all I wonder if life will ever be the same not least in terms of sport fanatisism. Can you imagine ever having the hatred that we've all felt towards opposition fans ever again?

Because why would a club in the relegation spots vote to end the season now when they are guaranteed to be relegated ?
They would lose upwards of £100mill and is why clubs cannot reach a agreement at the moment. It's the same for clubs like Spurs who would have no european football next year so they want it played out.

I would love to see the FA fine/punish a club for not fulfilling fixtures regarding this virus. They would be laughed out of court. Brighton for example have 3 players confirmed , the health of the whole club is at risk and they will not be forced to play
