Free season ticket renewal for Spanish club 13,500 season tickets


The president of LaLiga side Getafe has vowed to renew the subscriptions of all 13,500 of the club’s season ticket holders for free next season.

President Angel Torres confirmed that he would personally front the cost of the tickets in recognition of the financial difficulties facing supporters in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Our fans have continually showed their loyalty in the past, it’s time for clubs to repay them for their loyalty.”

Can’t imagine any club in this country doing that all about money these days as I’ve always said we are just a number and a statistic for a home game attendance ... probably Leicester city are the closet to showing there appreciation to there fans

Come on then football clubs show us fans some love. Im guessing some clubs and lower leagues are a lot closer to the cliff edge though.

I think Premier League clubs should help out all the lower league clubs and Sky should.

Even if Tan did this for the fans there would be loads who would still hate him and call for him to leave ( they would take the ticket though ).
Hes already the best owner this club has ever has but that would cement it.

I would not take the ticket Thomas, I would pay my way as i have done for 48 years,

Thomas, you cant make people like him, you either do or you dont, but respect both opinions.

I wont be bought of and was not for the nearly four years, its about pride and identity .

I've always believed in giving people 2nd chances . He has proven his worth to this club multiple times and is doing so again through this pandemic. Without him at the moment we could be in serious trouble like other clubs.

I believe he was very badly advised about the rebrand and believed what he was doing would be ok. He fixed his mistake , one of the only ones he has made and deserves a second chance
