5,000 fans going all the way to Scunthorpe and filling three sides of their 7,500 stadium

League 3 / No Premier glory hunting fans

Lower league Diehards

All the way up the motorways / in the streets / on the terraces / on the pitch / no trouble / just celebrations

Mine too. That long journey went so quick as we had such a laugh. Met some Chelsea fans in services on way to Sheffield. That was ‘interesting’. :laughing6:

Dressed as an Arab, took over the Sheffield arms, dancing on the pitch, kissed someone in a Pluto costume, and then rounded it off dancing in fountains at city hall.
Brilliant!

Yeah what a day Annis, we were well early getting up there and knowing they wouldn't let us in to Scunny centre for a drink we drove miles out into the country towards Doncaster, found this big pub in a quiet village, and guess what, it was heaving with city fans. The scenes at the end of the game were incredible, who needs the Premier league when you've got those sorts of days?

The best away game I ever went to. Found a pub about 5 miles outside of Scunthorpe called the Sheffield arms. No pubs were allowed to open in Scunthorpe itself. We put a Welsh flag on the railings outside and half hour later the place was full of City fans. The landlord loved us, the pub has probably never been so busy.
The game itself couldn’t have went any better. The atmosphere was awesome, with a few pitch invasions. Got back to Cardiff and got even more wrecked in Town, With loads going in the fountain outside City Hall! Brilliant day all round!

That’s the pub we were in. Landlord looked wary at first, but he was well happy after. Everyone had a great time with no trouble.

Would that happen now with 3 stands taken by away fans?,one of my favourite trips,so many City fans on the way up was incredible.
Wasn’t there talk of us playing at Elland Road due to the demand ?
Also wasn’t it between us and Wrexham for the title ?
Great day,great team
