If true and the Times is the best paper to trust .

Well done Boris :thumbright:

Dominic Raab confirmed that in the briefing tonight.
What Boris needs to do is put everybody back in there homes because the last week has seen a massive increase in people outside. B&Q is being used as a day out. Trago opens monday apparently so that will be even worse and all the fast food outlets are reopening now. Too many temptations to go out if everywhere is closed they have no reason to go out other than a quick walk close to home or a run.

June sounds a long time but it's only 3 weeks away

If true - he has had pressure put on him by the other 3 FM - who have all said want to come out of this at the same time.
But i still think that some will be back in work over the next 2 weeks and as i posted earlier today -
Each country will have their own rules to what goes on in certain areas .

I haven't really changed my tune I still believe the lockdown was correct i just think the opening of stores like these and fast food outlets is too early this weekend and is dangerous . In 3 weeks time I can see it being possible but not right now.
So many cars out now its ridiculous and too many shops open people just use it as a day out.

If you dont need to be out you shouldn't be out. 70% of the people out at the moment are just ignoring the rules and police seem to have disappeared.

The big problem here is the massive companies putting pressure on the government

Tony,

Personally it’s not enough I feel the UK needs a strong lockdown once and for all, but this is better than a picnic in a park.

There are a lot of good UK people who have been in lockdown for weeks , whilst others have ignored and then because of Boris and his softly softly approach many have not taken it serious enough .

Thomas sadly a lot of truth in what you’ve just said .

Boris has total control and can be way stricter if he wanted to.

It's been 1 big bank holiday for the 9-11% of this country as reports have said ...The rest of us have been respectful .

Agree with you. I know loads of people can’t believe they luck. At home 80% of wages most make the loss back on savings on petrol and not going out. Some who are at work are jealous of furloughed colleges.

What I find strange is most of the people in cars and out around shops seem to be older 60+.
You would expect the younger generation to be the ones going out but it doesnt seem to be that way.
Maybe the younger people are happy sat at home in the garden whilst the older generation want to go to garden centres and shops

Yeah I noticed it’s more older people out and about by a massive ratio.

Don’t forget Mark Drakeford and the Welsh Government are controlling Wales during this lockdown and are not necessarily following what is being said in Downing Street.
That was confirmed yesterday according to BBC news. E.g Tips aren’t open , schools will not be opening in Wales June1st.

Arlene Foster: 'Everything will stay as it is for next three weeks'

Arlene Foster says that so far as NI lockdown is concerned "everything will stay as it is" for the next three weeks.

"It's all to do with the famous R-0 number - the transmission of the virus," she told BBC Breakfast.

"Ours is about 0,8, 0.9 and we do not want to go above the number one again," she said.

However, she added that there could be “nuanced changes,” regarding extra outdoor exercise as a “nuanced change”.

"We will look and see if we can make minor adjustments within the three weeks," she said.

"We do of course recognise that we must give hope and early next week will be publishing our roadmap for the next few months," she added.

Welsh Government to reveal lockdown plans later

Wales' first minister will later outline how and when lockdown adjustments may be made

Mark Drakeford's approach is expected to be cautious and comes after Downing Street conceded Wales and the other UK nations can move differently on easing the restrictions.

Welsh ministers met twice on Thursday to discuss their formal review of the Welsh stay-at-home regulations, which must be completed every three weeks.

Their announcement will be made two days ahead of when Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to set out the plan for England.

Welsh Govt just announced

You can now exercise as much as you like away from your home and garden centres can re-open.

They believe the public will be sensible and dont go to far from your home.

May as well be No lockdown at all.

Garden centres to reopen in Wales as exercise rules relaxed
People in Wales will be able to exercise outside more than once a day, the Welsh Government has announced.

Some libraries, tips and garden centres will also be allowed to re-open from Monday, First Minister Mark Drakeford said.

But other existing lockdown measures are set to continue.

It comes 48 hours before Prime Minister Boris Johnson announces possible changes to the rules in England.

Yes Mark our first minister aka papa smurf has really broken the mold today by announcing pretty much the same that Boris will enlighten England with via another Churchill like address on Sunday. Still the smurf got there first proving there is a vital need for the cardiff bay self serving gravy train
