The above plans might happen in ENGLAND - But WALES - SCOTLAND - N.IRELAND - Can do what they like on some matters .

People need to know that each country has different powers to do what they think is best for their country .

This is another mess were the word UNITED Kingdom is not UNITED .

Wales just looks at what England does then does something different.

Looks like they have already started -

Wider pavements among post-lockdown plans for city

Cardiff council has put forward a list of new ideas, including extending pavement space into the road, as part of post-lockdown plans.

Ahead of any restrictions being lifted, the council the council has proposed a number of pilot schemes designed to help people maintain social distancing.

Temporary bike paths and re-designing public spaces around shopping centres are some of the other ideas.

“With social distancing expected to be the ‘new normal’ for some time to come, this does pose a significant challenge both for residents and the local authority," said cabinet member for strategic planning and transport, Caro Wild.

“The pavements in the city were not designed to allow a two-metre distance between other people, so public space will have to be adapted to ensure social distancing can be maintained as the city gradually starts to re-open for business.”

The first area which will be adapted is Wellfield Road, with plans drawn up to remove car parking on either side of the road so the pavement can be extended.
