Spain records lowest daily death toll in over six weeks
Spain has recorded its lowest daily death toll linked to coronavirus since 18 March, new figures from the health ministry show.
A total of 164 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, the lowest number in over six weeks, while new cases of the virus rose to 217,466 from 216,582.
Experts caution that numbers collated at the weekend are sometimes lower but have said that the figures are favourable.
A total of 25,264 have died with coronavirus in Spain but the country has started to gradually ease restrictions. Adults were able to exercise outdoors on Saturday for the first time in seven weeks. From Monday, face masks will be compulsory on all public transport.

Spain daily virus death toll drops below 200
Spain on Sunday counted another 164 coronavirus deaths, the lowest daily number in nearly seven weeks as the country begins to gradually lift its strict lockdown.
The figures from the health ministry bring the total number of fatalities from the pandemic in Spain to 25,264 - the fourth-highest after the United States, Italy and Britain.
It is the lowest daily increase since March 18 when 107 deaths were recorded but the ministry's emergencies coordinator, Fernando Simon, said the figure had to be interpreted with "caution" as it comes on a long holiday weekend when reporting of fatalities by hospitals is usually slower.
Health experts believe Spain's outbreak peaked on April 2 when 950 people died over 24 hours. Since then, the toll has been gradually dropping.

Reckon this tourist season is a right off over there Annis? The resorts that are usually full of Brits might suffer I guess, the ones that attract the Spanish and Germans might be ok though.....

Goats,
The next few months the virus will continue to be a big worry over here and the thought of no tourists will bankrupt many bars/ restaurants , shops and even hotels
