I personally think the figures are more like 7,000 plus or hopefully a lot less.

Most media outlets etc have been guessing in my opinion.

Completly agree, we may never truly know, but for now all we can use is official data (ONS)

ONS : 21,284 Deaths involving Covid-19 recorded in ENGLAND and WALES up to the 17th April 2020 .

Breakdown of these figs / info will follow later .

According to ONS figures, nearly 40 per cent (39.2%) of all deaths registered in the week to April 17 were linked to Covid -19, up from 33% the week prior.

There were 3,096 coronavirus-related care home deaths registered up to April 17 in England and Wales, up from 1,043 the week before.

Well Piers / Media you well exaggerated


Still very very sad, but their figures were totally wrong and thank God they were .
