Just a thought about people who are breaking lockdown rules

Fri Apr 24, 2020 5:02 pm

If you were told that there is a mass murderer in your nearest park the would you take your child to the park ? No.....so why are you taking your child to the park when there’s a Coronavirus pandemic!?

Its disproportionate comments like this that hugely frustrate me. Huge damage is potentially being done to our young people and children by creating a sense of fear about being outdoors or around others. Yes we need to stay at home and sensibly social distance for a short period of time but we should not walk our streets thinking we are going to die! Children and young people have very little to fear and should not be made to feel guilty for being outside or riding a bike in a park. Utter nonsense and people need to get a grip about the facts of this.

More concerned with the emergency services and NHS staff breaking the social distancing rule myself, especially every Thursday on the bridges of London, where there seems to be no rules applied there?? A large crowd of NHS staff clapping for a fellow doctor who had died, all less than a foot from the next, then back to their jobs on the wards!! Lead by example, or the public will see it as ok to not follow the distancing guidelines  as for excersise, it has been proven beneficial for the state of mind, therefore is a healthy thing,if done following the advice given,is as safe as can be.the general public seem to be on board,it shouldn't be ruined by a minority of dickheads, the punishment needs to be a lot stronger, for it to be effective, a poxy £60 fine ffs! Yeah, that's going to keep em in! Worked with mobile phone use whilst driving..................not!! :old: :bluebird:

In your scenario the mass murderer would only be a danger if he/she got close enough to attack you. If you had the ability to social distance from the murderer then you would be safe to go to the park.

This is exactly the same with COVID-19, you can go to the park with your children but all of you must social distance from other people. Common sense really.
