As for testing, the virus is so wode spread now it doesnt really matter of they are tested or not, if they are sticking to the guidelines and others areim it should not spread

We are being told we must not go to the countryside and the police are empowered to enforce this.
Where are these people staying when they're over here? Are they all related to each other or are they maintaining social distancing before and after they are in work?

More to it mate I watched the farmer on the bbc explain why he's paid 40k to fly these people over hes contracted to the agency ,this was going to happen this year anyway ,also hes paying the agency 400 pound per week for each employee, it is wrong he could of paid 400 a week to British nationals and he woukd have no problem especially now with the way the virus has gone

Just wondered if these jobs were actually made available to British workers at any point?
Are we just assuming that the only reason these guys are being flown in is because British workers have been given the opportunity and refused?

Just what furloughed people have said to me. It’s a tiny proportion. So who knows.

Agree.
My interactions with furloughed workers is that they generally are treating it as a long holiday.
One person said to me they happy to be Furloughed. He said if it here was no virus around and things were normal and you were offered 3 months off work with 80% most would take it.
That to me sums up the way some are looking at this crisis hence why some break the lockdown. Interested to know what % of them are furloughed workers.

Unfortunately I think many people are stupid enough to think that being furloughed is a paid holiday.
Most of those who do must be so thick that they don't realise that there is a fair chance that the economy has been so fucked up by this lockdown that many hundreds of thousands are likely to lose their jobs either directly or indirectly as a result of what is currently happening.
And for those that are lucky enough to still have a job at the end of all this how do they think this money they've been getting for three months is going to be recouped? Do they think it's a generous gift from the government from some money pit the government set aside for a rainy day?
No - those lucky enough to still have a job will be repaying this for decades through higher taxation of various types.

100% agree .. unemployment will rise, those still employed will have less of a market to sell to and the government are going to find it really tough with less people earning probably less money to tax..

This narrative about British workers being too lazy to take up physical work does my head in. There are plenty of British workers earning a living in physically hard jobs such as construction, road or even grave diggers.
The real reason employers prefer foreign nationals is they are easier to exploit. No breaks, no holiday pay or other employment rights as generally they are unaware of them or reluctant in take advantage of them due to being summarily dismissed and never working again in the UK.
