Positive news regarding big fall in daily deaths

Although a very high number great to see a big fall in numbers almost 300 less than yesterday. Hopefully this isn’t a blip but the start of a trend or daily drops in numbers.

BREAKING: UK death toll passes 16,000

The number of people who have died in hospital from the coronavirus has reached 16,060, the Department for Health and Social Care has announced.

This is an increase of 596.

Even allowing for the dip on the weekend that we’re always told about, as well as the fact that any death is very sad, it has to be seen as good news mate.

you actually posted a video about 2 weeks ago about flattening the curve...its whats happened here so far and did not happen elsewhere.. im not sure todays lower numbers will continue though as the stategy is not to beat the virus as we do not have the means..its longer term and to keep our hospitals relatively full while not overloading...no good having a thousand beds and 500 empty now but a thousand beds and 1500 in need next week...ive read today that there is consideration being given to running hospitals hot..? we will see.

You entitled to your views. I for one want to see a downward curve to zero and this is a step in that direction however small it is. No one here has said everything is fine go back to normal we are cured. I’ve just looked at one tiny fact in this crisis that has improved for today. With which you can’t argue. Nothing more nothing less.
