Do people know the difference between 2 metres and 2 feet, it does not seem like to me, especialy all the idiots on bikes, wizzing past you by inches, as thick as two short planks

I’ve seen it too mate. Yesterday I was in my local co op and generally people were superb. Then, as I pulled open a slide door to a fridge compartment around knee height and bent in to grab some beer, a hound girl leaned into the compartment directly above where I was - her head was around 12 inches above mine!
I quickly pulled away, gave her a look to which she relied “Oops sorry” then carried on.

No idea, I left before the UK went metric and the US doesn't use it so I guess by your standard I'm thick as two short planks. My bad as the youngsters say

its almost impossible to be in a supermarket and at no point be within 2 meters of someone else mate...the idea is we do our best..

Let's be honest that 2 meter distance rule is pretty pointless.
They have already proven that whilst coughing virus can travel further than that and stay airborne for a good whilst before dropping.

It sounds good though as a soft lockdown measure

maybe we should all wear meter thick hoola hoop type things around our waists ?
we could have inspectors measure them.. and threads on stupid people that bought cheap ones that are not quite a meter .
its impossible to negotiate supermarkets and not at any point be within 2 meters.. people are trying and by en large doing good..
