Electrician Apprentice

Hi Everyone,

First of all, I hope everyone is staying safe in these times we find ourselves in.
This isn't football related, but I wasn't too sure where I could post this for help / ideas.

Basically, I currently work in Construction Recruitment. For the last couple of years, I've been toying with the idea of retraining to become an Electrician.
Now, the issue I am having is trying to find somebody willing to take me on and help me get through my qualifications. I'm willing to work the hours etc. I just want to be able to get into the trade.

If anybody can help, or know anybody who would be willing to help, I would really appreciate it.

Try CMBE, Evans, Whiteheads, Highadmit etc, and other smaller outfits. Send in an application or CV, but put your mugshot on it. One trick I’ve known work, is a short video selling yourself. Also depends if you want to work commercial or domestic.
If you’re already in recruitment, you’ve probably already got some contacts. There’s also some schemes about employing local people run by the HA’s, but I don’t know how that works entirely. It’s a good idea to phone or visit them for a chat also.
They do take on annually, but obviously helps if you know someone..good luck.
