“ The Restrictions are exactly the same “

Spanish lockdown

Spain easing some Lockdown restrictions has made headlines and also led to us receiving phone calls and messages asking whether we are opening up Mallorca and if we know when hotels will open and flights begin again.

The restrictions now are EXACTLY the same as they were on Day 1 of the crisis - after 2 weeks the Government introduced stricter measures which have now been removed over the Easter weekend. They mainly affect construction and factory work, but not the freedom of movement.

For some shops selling food and drink, are allowed to open but like on Day 1, many feel it is safer for us and our customers that they remain closed until we are told it is safe to at least freely walk about.

As for hotels and flights, we know no more than anyone else at the moment but will update as soon as we hear of any movement on this.

The number of cases both here in The Balearics and Spain overall continue to fall every day so we are still hopeful that we will see some of you later this year.

Thanks, and #stayathome and #staysafe

No offence intended, but the last thing on my mind right now is a holiday  like f@ck,I'd like nothing more, but am prepared to wait until it's right to do so, for both myself, and the country I may visit, let's hope the prices don't rocket too much, cos undoubtedly they will, due to demand!! So for now it's, staying home and staying safe ,and enjoy my new furniture :laughing5: :old: :bluebird:

ive written this year off regarding holidays abroad , and cancelled a five night stay in Benalmadena..fortunately I hadn't done flights and had free cancelation on hotel... its not purely the virus but more the restrictions that will probably still be in place not just in Spain but most countries . not much of a holiday in a mask and gloves ?
