I got a late night/ early morning call (4am) and had to rush out (essential journey before anybody complains) and covered a round trip of 80 miles from my front door and back again and didn’t see one police unit between South Wales Police and Gwent Police, a journey that took in the M4 between Bridgend and Cardiff, the A470, 3 police stations, a Roads Policing Depot and a hospital.....
Saw plenty of cars with more than 1 occupant too, especially the bottom end of the A470 and M4 West, not exactly the time for shopping seeing as the supermarkets are open Sunday hours today

Policing like so many areas of life will have been changed forever by what's happened over the last few weeks I think.
All the additional powers they have been given will never be removed from them - they will justify that by saying that they're needed in case of any future recurrence of the virus or anything similar to it.
That may have long reaching consequences for our civil liberties as individuals and particularly as football supporters.
There's no putting this particular genie back in the bottle.

Mate, I’m really not trying to be an @rse here but I wouldn’t expect a great deal of police activity on motorways around 4am tbh. I’d imagine they’d be better off around streets and town / city centres.

Due to my work in a distribution ware house my son and I worked a 6 till 2 shift on Easter sunday(first one in 25 years)as we came out of the village onto a dual carriageway a police car was parked up in a little enclave. I fully expected to get stopped at 5 in the morning but no nothing. So much for active policing as the original poster stated
