Oxford university study suggests it could be as high as 50 percent. I don't think it's that high but certainly higher than the reported cases.

We've tested 200k in hospital, the majority were there because they thought there was a possibility at least that they had the disease. Only 25% proved positive and I find hard to believe that the population as a whole would be higher than that. Obviously the higher that figure then the closer we are to an end to this, so having an idea is key.

I'm sure that lots of people think they have it because they are showing "symptoms" but remember not everybody with a cough has got coronavirus.
Not everybody with a high temperature has it.
At times it seems like there are currently no other illnesses other than the coronavirus - if you have a slight cough or are feeling under the weather then you must have it despite the fact that it can be any number of other illnesses such as a normal cold.
However until every single person in the country is tested we'll never know.
Testing at the moment is only being done on people in hospitals. For an accurate figure I guess you would have to test everybody and that is unlikely to ever be possible so it's basically all just guesswork and like all forms of statistics they can be managed and manipulated to give whatever outcome benefits a particular agenda.

I agree. Except we also have to take in to account the asymptomatic people, which they think is as high as 86%!! And that figure is actually quite reliable in studies so far. I mean, if I had a little bit of a cough or temp only, I'm not going to hospital to get tested.
I think it'll be between 10-25 percent realistically.

Will greatly go higher than 10% IMO.
Listening to a doctor on radio 5 last night was extremely disturbing.

If you go on a ventilator your chances are only 14%.
