Im currently on the waiting List for Surgery amd, received a call yesterdsy from the Heath to tell me that they have deferred the Surgery for 3-6 months.

Im due to undetgo a Tumour removal of the Kidney which they found growing last year.

Its all very worrying at the minute because I dont know whem all this will get back to normal of it ever will.

Ive beem referred from local HCP to the Heath. Anyone know what the Situation is down your way in Cardiff as regards Healthcare Guidance and COVID-19, amongst other clinics at the Hospital? ?

It's the same for everyone at present mate,my mum had letter to cancel her appointment for scan,as follow up to cancer removal from her lung, she is also a nervous wreck, but this is the way it is at present.have you had biopsy on the tumour? I was also informed by a good family friend who works in a hospital,to avoid having to go there at the moment, due to covid 19 being rife! If your tumour is of the be benign tyle then it won't be classed as life threatening,so will be deferred I'm afraid, but if they have given you a deferral for 3/6 months, they are obviously confident enough to do that, either way,the best of luck to you :bluebird: :old: :bluebird:

My brother has been told if he needs another operation after his scan he can add a year to the previous wait times of just a few weeks. I think he goes to hospital in Aberystwyth. He has been to Carmarthen and Llanelli as well previously.
Posts 5,6 8 and a few others further on are very relevant to the knock effects of this virus on the NHS in the link below. Very worrying times for all concerned. I hope you don't have to wait too long and likewise for my brother. I'm trying to keep positive with at least a joke a day, as laughter is the best medicine and worry helps nobody. I'm phoning my brother everyday with the jokes that I have been posting on here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=213781. Hopefully, the football will return in a few months to help take our minds of things, but in the meantime keep isolated to avoid COVID-19.

Hi mate yes had The Biopsy at the beginning of February down the Heath. On March 3rd it was what they expected, a Malignant Renal Tumour. Albeit a low grade 2, arount 2.5cm but Solid and Enhancing.

It is a worry and weighing heavily on my mind at present. Though the Urology NDTs amd Consultants have been brilliant with me in what is a challenging period for them all.

Whereas its worrying, in my Case they have caught it early and can afford a little time so all this Pandemic can pass safely.

Trying to remain positive but its very difficult. Hope your family will be ok. Praying for everyones safety and wellbeing.

Take Care mate and stay safe.
