First XI

My all time favorite 11 from the 80s:

Ron Healy.

R. James

P. Dwyer
Bellamy (forget his first name)

M. Delaney

G. Kavanagh
J. Fowler
P. Whittingham
A. Gunnarson

C. Dale
P. Stant.

There are many more notable starting 11s. Mamely the 2003, 2013 and 2018 Promotion Sides.

The Side of the mid 80s i have memories as it was when i saw City for the very first time and what got me going to NP

Im sure a lot of you will jave memories stretchong far back then??

Good side but Whittingham and Gunnarsson weren’t from that era mate.
I remember that Ballamy centre back but can’t for the life of me remember his name either.

Might mean Gary Bell.. although we did have a Gary Bellamy on loan circa 92..

He could mean Craig Bellamy, but probably not David..

Or Lee Baddeley? :?

About that era but not sure I'd put him in that class. He was a decent enough player for a while but blighted by hamstring issues, if I recall?

A nice lad though (he went out with my cousin for a while) :thumbright:

Gary Bellamy thats him. I remember he played along side Kevin Ratcliffe. If im not mistaken in the same team as Rddie Newton and a winger Harper. That was some side bsck then.

Anyway i seem to recall they had a good partnership that stood out for me..Like you said though only a Loan player..all tje same a good side in that era. Cheers!

If I recall he was a composed player..

Kevin Brock was another who stayed a short time only, but was a good player. Him and Wayne Fereday..

I'd actually forgotten about Gary Bellamy but it came back to me; but Kevin Brock and Wayne Fereday I do recall and both were more than decent players for us :thumbright:

Whilst it's got me thinking, also enjoyed Cohen Griffiths and Nicky Richardson from same era (early to mid 90's)

Eddie Newton. Remember they carried him off the pitch. Gary Croft was another good player at that level..but I can’t remember the period.

Was going to say that Fereday was a little on the light side..but that would be poor
