There was a fully packed street market in Ammanford today within a stones throw of a police station

Today at a block of flats near Rogerstone all the Gardner’s are out working and all the kids are out.
Builders merchants in Whitchurch Cardiff there are massive ques and in Grangetown the amount of youths out has tripled.

Matt Hancock Health Secretary and Dr Hilary have both said today the virus has not even got no where near it’s peak yet and the weeks ahead are going to be worse than awful.

UK Easter Sunday death peak 'perfectly possible'

The deadliest peak of the UK's coronavirus outbreak could be on Easter Sunday, Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said.

Asked about reports that the death rate could peak on 12 April, Mr Hancock told Sky: "I defer to the scientists on the exact predictions, I'm not going to steer you away from that.

"That is one perfectly possible outcome."

According to the most recent figures from Thursday, 2,921 people in the UK have died with the virus. The total rose by 569 from 2,352 the day before, which was the biggest day-on-day increase so far.

Man fined twice in 24 hours for flouting lockdown

A man has been fined twice in 24 hours for flouting coronavirus legislation.

The 22-year-old, from Llanelli, was stopped for being outside without a reasonable excuse by Dyfed Powys Police.

The man was found in a car that was stopped following reports of a theft of a phone on 1 April.

He and and an 18-year-old were arrested on suspicion of theft and both fined for breaking lockdown rules.

“This was the second fine one of these men was issued within 24 hours, after he showed a clear disregard for all guidelines," Chief Insp Tom Sharville said.

I just went to get food in supermarket. Drove though Ponty and it’s empty. In streets too. More cars may be because they’re not on buses etc which is good.

That’s good :thumbright:

It’s the same old lot, City people.

USA is false in that table as they announce different areas at different times and it will rise a lot later

Are the people wandering the streets aware, or even concerned, that we are in the grip of an apocalyptic disaster?

Surely they can see the dreadful pictures on telly?

Why the hell would you want to go outside your front door UNLESS absolutely vital?

It's always the same isn't it?

A handful of selfish chumps making things worse for everyone.

With glorious weather forecast for this weekend I can only see things getting worse over the next few days.

Police patrols to stop rule-breakers on sunny weekend

Gwent police says it will be stepping up patrols in the area to stop people breaking restrictions over the weekend.

With the weather forecast to be good, there are concerns people may ignore advice to stay at home.

The force said it had been made aware that illegal off-road biking was planned for the weekend.

Police now have the powers to fine people who break the rules, which state you can leave your house for essential travel, to go to work and to the shops - and for one form of exercise a day.

Chief Constable Pam Kelly said: "We understand that this is a difficult time for people, especially those that are ill, self-isolating, away from loved ones and of course for workers and businesses concerned about the future.

“The vast majority of our communities are adhering to the guidance and we thank them for that as they are making a real difference.

“We know there is a small minority of people who have been continuing to go against government guidelines. This has to stop."

Annis don't believe all you read. Lots of traffic are key workers and also voluntary workers getting food to the elderly etc. And apart from a silly few as you will get anywhere the UK looks like a ghost town compared to what it was.. People still need to leave for food etc but on the whole people are listening so don't think we are carrying on as normal. Far from it

If anyone saw the report from Italy this morning they would not want to leave the house. It was pitiful to watch. Don't people realise how serious this is. Please follow the instructions to stay at home.

Re: “ THERE ARE BIG REPORTS “

I finished at the hospital at 5 pm today and the M4 was clear and it took me 25 mutes to drive home when normally take over an hour to drive 20 miles and some other times an hour and a half so Traffic is well down.

I am sure there will be stories about people going out more and not listening but there is also a hell of lot of people who are listening too

I agree the police are no where to be seen I haven't seen a policeman is a week I driven all over wales with my job and drove down to Porthcawl to take some food to my parents last Sunday 2 hours driving 76 miles and not 1 policeman in sight .

We are still lower than Italy and Spain who are on total lockdown if the police did their job to the small few who are taking the piss because they are stupid and then fined would help the rest of us

No it’s not the dogooders - it’s the weak wankers who follow and obey them!

Re: “ THERE ARE BIG REPORTS “

I object to the term "dogooders" mainly because I have been delivery prescriptions in ely, fairway error and Radyr, so class myself as a dog oder of sorts, but I get the point being made,as I have been shocked today at the number of people acting as if the worst is over! Some youngsters in ely, riding bikes over the field, five guys stood around 1 car with the bonnet up,just pissing around! Popped into lidl to pick up some groceries to an old gent in fairway error, and was shocked to see a line of obedient social distance customers for home bargain store, all queuing 2 metres apart  yet the lid store had no social distancing protocol whatsoever, bar a few lines by the checkouts,no sanitizing products as tesco have,to clean trolley/basket handles, and the worst offence was no limit on customers in store  was the trickiest shop I've done to date! Why isn't the government doing something about these stores? They need a team to go around checking on the stores open, to ensure they are compliant with government recommended protocol.was definitely more traffic around today, and people :sad7: when,oh when will these idiots wake the f@ k up,in intensive care? :banghead: :old: :bluebird:
