I heard that the partial reason for the jump is over the weekend there was 100 plus deaths that weren't included due to an administration problem but still a rise none the less

The death rate will fluctuate because the very ill will be in ICU for weeks fighting for their lives before sadly dying of this horrible decease.

If there was a silent Jack the Ripper type murderer about killing 393 people a day, do you think anyone would leave the house?

It's odd, I've got neighbours that I have never seen leaving the house without a car, going for daily walks?

WTF is that all about, now you stand a fair chance of dying or killing your Mum, Dad or Granny they decide it's time to have a nice walk?

There's nowt as strange as folk?

Provided you follow the guidelines (go alone and stay at least 2m away from other people) it is perfectly OK to go for daily exercise in the form of a walk.

Let's not demonise people who are doing nothing wrong. Those who don't follow the guidelines are the real danger.

Fair enough I agree really, I just find it strange that now going for a walk carries an element of risk, people who never walk want to go for a walk?

I walk every day at least twice and hardly see a soul, now the pathway down along the stream is like the facking M4!

"Those who don't follow the guidelines are the real danger"

I agree with that too

its difficult.. those at the very top of the danger list are in hospitals , in care homes or at home with a number of carers visiting daily who visit many homes of people at the top of this danger list every day...
its not that they are not being careful its they are in an environment where its impossible to not be in close contact with other people who themselves are in contact with lots of people each day...

Well said Tony blue, I went for my first walk yesterday, but went to the woods, and only saw 3 people! And even there,we managed to pass each other at at least 20 feet,as you say, follow the social distancing guidelines,But I will add,I saw neighbours who have never ridden a bike (judging by their wobbling! ) taking their kids on bike ride, also 4 neighbours (two in each car) from separate households, and of no relation to one another, all go to Asda to do a shop!! Then hang around as a four chatting shit!! Not 2 metres between all four.having volunteering to deliver meds and collect and drop off people in isolations prescriptions, over the last 3 days, traffic has really eased up,and I am seeing less gathering of any kind, but will name and shame lidl down by the ground, absolutely no attempt at social distancing measures in place,I had to run around dodging shoppers and staff alike! And without sounding racist,99% of shoppers were foreign, and obviously haven't got the message,or are pig ignorant :banghead: :old: :bluebird:

You are so right  my 79 yr old mum,has been on lockdown for 3 weeks now,and it's hard to drop and run,but it's for her protection, as she falls into the top end of the spectrum, having had lung surgery 2 years ago, and having copy! The only blessing is she has a huge back garden, and family next door,so they shout over to each other every day,but she is usually a very active person, going to keep fit classes twice weekly, and club on a Wednesday, she is bored beyond, but what can you do?. :old: :bluebird:

It’s so sad to hear
I suppose it’s possible that he just had a poor immune system though as that’s what this horrible virus homes in on when it infects. Generally the younger the better re strength of immune systems but possibly tjis poor guys ability to fight it off wasn’t strong enough.
Shocking to hear though and I I said so sad.
May he RIP.

Well what a f*cking hypocrite you are.

First you have a go at your neighbours for going out for a walk just because you haven’t seen it before - well they’ve never been cooped up for weeks before ffs.

Then you say that you go out walking at least twice a day - when the guidelines say you are only allowed out once per day.

Then you say - “those who don’t follow the guidelines are the real danger”

Pathetic.

We know that the death rate will continue to rise for a few weeks yet :( However, the most important stat now is the number of new infections.

By next Monday we should have a better idea of the start of any impact on the lockdown as that will be 14 days.

Let's hope we get some more "green shoots" of recovery.
