Only Iceland, Aldi and Home Bargains open and punters were observing the rules impeccably when I was there. As long as the burger van when open did the same , I don’t really see the issue.

I don't see the issue either...but we are where we are, people taking pictures of crowded places they themselves were clearly at... or an over crowded { due to reduced service } tubes that they themselves were on.... its do as I say not do as I do

The PM had said it’ll get worse before better.
Death toll will go up considerably over next 2-3 weeks , there’s absolutions getting away from that.
The positive that we can all look at is that there’s are a steady decrease in NEW cases in some countries (remember the buckets in the video). This is certainly down to the measures made in these countries. The more stringent the measures could well mean there will be a positive impact on new cases and this WILL eventually have a positive effect on the death rate - possibly 2-3 weeks later.
All of the above is based on the general paths that this awful virus is taking in other countries. Sure there’ll be some minor peaks and troughs along the way but I think we can all agree that heeding government advice WILL help the situation enormously,,,..it just means riding out the next couple of weeks and keeping your eyes on the new cases rather than the death toll.

Whilst I agree with what you say,on another thread on here,flights from China, Iran and Italy, are landing daily at Heathrow 11 from China, even more from Rome! !! It's not just the public that needs shaking,it's the stupid government allowing these flights to happen,not commercial flight,but surely even business people cannot all be"essential workers"? These are three of the worst affected countries, yet they continue to be allowed!! Not even turkey are allowing them in,and that includes the UK!!

im a bit surprised how many flights are still arriving myself.. but read something in an Italian newspaper weeks ago just after they stopped flights from China.. basically it said it had very little effect as in this day and age everyone just re routes..it doesn't stop those people coming, it just makes them have more flights and go through more airports to get to their destination.
