Gareth Bale is at the centre of Madrid's transfer strategy this summer
Spanish giants are prepared to let the 30-year-old Welshman leave for nothing
The football season faces an uncertain future after the outbreak of the coronavirus, but Real Madrid appear to unperturbed as they make preparations for the summer.
And they reportedly centre around Gareth Bale, with Zinedine Zidane reluctant to hold onto him for another season.
Bale is willing to see out the final two years of his contract, but the Bernabeu club are now prepared to let him leave for nothing just to get him off the books, claim
Bale is without a league goal since September and has played only three times in 2020.
Zidane had been prepared to give him his chance this season, but he has failed to deliver and has fallen well down the pecking order.
Madrid are now increasingly unwilling to keep Bale and his £15.4million salary, and after Brexit becomes a reality next January, the 30-year-old will occupy a non-EU player spot in the squad.
Bale's agent, Jonathan Barnett, has made it clear that his client is enjoying life in the Spanish capital and does not want to leave.
But Real are now clear that they can no longer afford Bale and his high wages.
