Good back up defender

No where near good enough for top end of championship. He will be here next season as no doubt signed on a good contract, for player not club, and can't see any club that can afford him wanting him. He is a back up for Morrison but not going to make us any better. Not in the same league as the Roger Johnsons, Glen Loovens of this world. Bournemouth didn't pay much more for Chris Mepham who we should have been able to attract from Brentford whilst we were PL. Flint be fine playing against our system with Glatzel or Pato up front but against quicker nimbler players he was found out to be not good enough.

Get rid. Terrible signing.

If we didnt have Morrison then I'd understand it but for me it sad an awful signing, probably on a big wage and daft transfer fee.

I'd be more than happy to start next season with Morrison, Nelson and another new signing.

Good in the air but painfully slow and gets turned by fast attacking players and will get slower and slower if manga was still here our defensive record would be far better, so its no for me compare him to sanderson now and take your pick.

Tbh for his height is crap in the air at set pieces and is painfully slow at getting back when the counter attack is on. Average defender at best.

Or you could interpret the above comments as 'opinions?' It would be odd not to wright negative comments if your opinion of a player was poor.

For the record my opinion is he is not as good as either Morrison or Nelson but you do wonder if he could fill in as a centre forward/target man considering his size and attributes

Annis, can see your point in asking the question but personally think you are opening the door for yet another Cardiff player to get slated by the usual suspects.
My own honest opinion is I cannot see why we bought him in the first place but as he's here he has my backing.

Not denying he scores and assists on the other end.

But defensively he’s been directly at fault for an un-defensible amount of goals that we’ve conceded.

Definitely get rid, especially since he ain’t getting any younger.

Shite version of Morrison imo. Cant do anything but header the ball when attacking. Hope Flint and Pack leave next season, they are both ponderous players who I assume are on big wages, so yeah id move them on in the summer.

At least Flint won’t have to worry about Corona as he hasn’t been within 6ft of an opposition player since he came here.

338 League appearances, 52 goals mostly in Championship so a proven performer at this level but very similar player to our Captain and they cannot play in same team. Warnock again guilty of wasting millions!

The team/style we play is not overly conducive to him and another slow player together, as we have found out to our detriment. Placed with someone more mobile, I think it is a close thing between him and several others (Morrison being the key defender n our current team/squad)

Flint is a good player at championship level. The problem is he cannot play with Morrison as they are just to similar But Morrison is better. Flint with Nelson would be fine but the constant playing of them together earlier in the year just made them both look bad

Boro fans wanted to play tippy tappy with ’Modern manager’ Woodgate.

They actually didn’t concede many goals last season and Flint was a virtual ever present.

He didn’t fit in with the way they wanted to evolve their game.

Problem is we dont need a 6m player on big wages as back up. If we have back up they have to be more versatile in who they can play with.

Great in the air. Otherwise an absolute Donkey. We need to move on from signing route one defenders like him and catch up with the times.
