Formal announcement on Tuesday. Been inevitable for a couple of weeks. Never mind lets hope we get some of the cost back.

UEFA, who have scheduled an important summit for next Tuesday, are expected to announce the suspension of Champions League and Europa League on that occasion, as well as the postponement of the Euros until the summer of 2021.

Despite the ongoing situation all of over the world, UEFA made the decision to not suspend the European cups during a meeting today. Of course, this has been heavily criticised but it seems that the wanted decision will arrive after all, although too late one could argue.

How do you know?

I thought I heard on radio that it was an option. May be wrong though.

it does look likely as the play offs haven't even been played yet and are unlikely to all take place when scheduled..

Reported by Lequipe. Subject to agreement but they're reporting as pretty much definite.

Uefa are meeting next Tuesday to discuss. No decisions have been nade yet.

I can see that happening and under the circumstances the right thing to do :thumbright: :thumbright:

Agree. Tip of the iceberg for sporting events. The Olympic Games surely will have to be deferred.

What’s with the sarcasm, I made a post telling people not to bother making their plans for the Cardiff game. I don’t know if you realise but we’re only on Friday. There’s 2 days until the game is scheduled.

Everybody reported that Johnson was going to announce that sporting events will be changed to behind closed doors, and even though that didn’t happen yesterday, it should’ve and it’s bizarre that it hasn’t yet.

I can’t believe people trying to take a Micky when all I was doing was tell people how it is. Nobody taking it seriously enough with comments like “nothing stopping me going to watch Cardiff”, well, that’s a selfish outlook, more important things than football.

I’ll just say this, don’t act like I’ve shown myself up because the game isn’t behind closed doors yet, there’s still 2 days to go. And with the Arteta news, I wouldn’t be so confident as you are that the game even goes ahead, never mind the fans.
