The Future Bluebirds

Played yesterday v League one Ipswich Town DVP

The players that stood out

Tom Sang
A cut above in attack for the Bluebirds. Looks incredibly comfortably on the ball and a real threat down the City right-hand side. You felt anything good was going to come from his smart work on the ball. Has a lovely delivery and an eye for goal.

Matt Hall
Looks a real, top prospect. Was quick to rush off his line and act like a sweeper, had excellent distribution and made a couple of calm and collected saves. Could do little with the goal.

Camron McWilliams (star man) :bluebird:
Looks a real find, the trialist from Northampton. Steve Morison will know him well from his time at Northampton and you can see why he was keen to bring him to Cardiff. A modern-day full-back who bombed up and down the flank and linked brilliantly with Tom Sang. I would not be surprised if City snap him up.

Jack Bodenham
When Ipswich were on top, Bodenham did well to quell their potent attacking threats. A big presence who ensured there was calm when balls were bombed into the box. Cool when under pressure with the ball at his feet, too.

Tavio D'Almeida
A midfield general in this young Bluebirds team. Looks a mature player, who is no frills whatsoever. Short, sharp passing in attack and a leader who organises in defence. Always popped up and intercepted when Ipswich threatened to attack. The sort of player every team should have.

How do you manage to find a negative in everything, you constantly try to put a downer on anything positive.

You must be a joy to live with. :(

Why has he left Kieran Evans out who scored, has come through the ranks and been a shining light and the stand out in the U23's for a while now and is still only 18

If anyone is going to be a future bluebird its looks like this lad

Odd to say the least, unless I'm missing something :?:

if you read any of this Glen fellas other stuff its pretty obvious he isn't a fan.. or a good enough journalist to take real interest in who he is writing about.. I find it annoying as there must be decently educated kids out there that live and breathe Cardiff City who would love a job covering our club whose opinions you may agree or disagree with but who would at least be getting all the facts correct..

I watched the game on Monday, and without being too critical, only Tom Sang and Cameron McWilliams showed up as any kind of quality for us.
Ipswich were a lot better than our young team to be honest. I just wish though that these WOL journos would be a little more honest rather than give false praise to young players thinking that they're raising their confidence levels in doing so.

To be honest RV, I almost added Keiran to the other two I picked out, as he certainly did look very useful when running at defenders. He attacks at pace which is good, but he needs to learn the right time as to when to release the ball, as on a couple of occasions he was caught in possession when maybe he could or should have had a shot at goal.
But, yes he's one of the brighter prospects we've got with the 18's and 23's.
It's just that it seems to be a regular occurrence for a lazy journo to heap unnecessary false praise on whoever they pick out of a hat thinking that's what the club want to see or hear.
