Swansea, meanwhile, sit around the same price mark, but one bookmaker makes them rank outsiders at 40/1. The shortest price you can get on the Swans getting promoted is 28/1.

There is a huge price drop after Swansea, with QPR the next favourites at 100/1 after them, meaning there are 11 teams really in the fight for those top-six places.

The two teams at the top of the table, however, are almost nailed-on favourites to get out of the division this season.

Leeds, Cardiff's opponents this weekend, have climbed out of their slump and are now as short as 1/66 to get promoted.

You can get prices of around 1/50 for West Brom, too.

After that, though, it gets tight.

Assume the bookies are taking remaining fixtures into account as they have Milwall at 12-1 and Cardiff at 28-1 when we both have the same number of points. Normally xthat would mean we should be similar or the same odds. If we got four points from the next two games (probably very unlikely) our odds would plummet.
