The Neil Warnock advice Cardiff look to be heeding

By Tom Coleman

It goes without saying that Harris’ predecessor Neil Warnock knows a thing or two about getting promoted.

Despite being linked with several jobs since leaving the Bluebirds, the latest being Ipswich, the Yorkshireman appears to be enjoying his time as an interested spectator at the moment.

Following up on his debut on Sky Sport’s Soccer Saturday, Warnock gave his thoughts on the Championship promotion race shortly before Saturday’s game, and offered a piece of advice for any side looking to get to the promised land of the Premier League.

“Different managers have different ways of dealing with it. I think humour is a big thing around the training ground,” Warnock told PA.

“If you get too intense, the pressure gets to the players, so you try to do the best you can to keep it off the players.”

It has to be pointed out that Warnock's point wasn’t specifically aimed at Cardiff, but there are signs that this current Bluebirds crop might well be taking that message on board already.

The Will Vaulks somersault is understandably becoming a big hit with Bluebirds fans and was given another airing following his goal in this win.

However, on this occasion it was nearly upstaged by Callum Paterson’s hilarious imitation just a few seconds later.

Clearly this squad still knows how to have a bit of fun from time to time.
