Penalties

Really pleased with the 3 pts.

The pen waved away today was the worst of those we have recently been denied. A rugby tackle by the keeper after he dropped a dolly!! Shocking!

I’d love to see a compilation of the ones we didn’t get over the last couple of seasons.

Are these bad decisions by the officials reviewed?

If the ref was doing his job though he’d have blown for a foul by Paterson before he himself was fouled.

Fulham has a stonewall one turned down in stoppage time today.

Unbelievably not given for a rugby tackle on Paterson. These refs are fecking awful to be honest

Re: Penalties

The missed pen was a shocker other than that the ref was really good I thought

For what? Prior to the keeper pulling him down, he’s being held back by the defender.

Look again, Paterson fouled the player. The ref didn’t give one so couldn’t give the other.

Apart from that he was a million times better than that bald porker we had last week and the 2 clowns before that.

he is trying to get to the ball and the defender was trying to block him but wasn't strong enough. what exactly do you see there that's a foul. why would he be pulling the defender back ?

I agree, I think the defender got caught out and was fouling Paterson. If that’s given as a free kick to the defender then footballs ruined.

I’ve watched it over and over, I even filmed it at the time to review it and it’s now all over social media.

I’m confident in my opinion that Paterson is impeded by two different players in that move.

Definite penalty but in all honesty patterson pushed CB over so ref probably got it right

where exactly is this pushed him over bit, its not in the highlights

After his shocking refereeing performance last week, plus the fact he didn’t give us a stonewall pen, Simon Hooper refereed a Premier League game yesterday. I think it’s shocking how Hooper was rewarded with such incompetence by being given a top flight game the next week.

not sure the defender does a great deal wrong ,other than not be strong enough . Paterson is clearly trying to get to the ball {which he is entitled to do } , the defender is trying to keep him away from the ball by forcing his run away from the keeper. I really don't see this push that some are seeing..

Let it go ..... whatever for once it didn’t cost us points like wrong decisions cost us at let’s think off the to of my head, Birmingham away, Wigan, Forest & Brentford at home......there’s bound to me more, oh yeah most corners there’s a foul on Morrison

The defender is pulling the front of Paterson’s jersey with his right arm as the ball is coming through. It would be soft but there is no allowance for it in the laws of the game.

Paterson is a pain in the arse for defenders and referee’s but in this instance, he’s been shafted.

The pen shout was stonewall! Keeper should have seen red as well. Shocking decision by the ref! Luckily it didn’t cost us.

It’s not just in the championship though. Man U were denied a penalty today, and Fred was even booked for diving when he was clearly clipped in the box. I know some on here ,will say they don’t care because it’s Utd, but it shows, referees bottle it at all levels.
