MAN CITY 'COULD STILL PLAY IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE'

Sky Sports:

Manchester City could still play in next season's Champions League, even if the Court of Arbitration for Sport uphold UEFA's decision to ban them from European competition for two years.

CAS have confirmed City's appeal against their ban for 'serious breaches' of UEFA's financial regulations.

And a statement released by the court on the appeal being lodged said that "it is not possible" to say precisely when the matter will be resolved.

Depending on how long process takes, City may have to be admitted into the Champions League for the 2020/21 season, according to the Daily Mail. City must still apply for a stay of the ban, and CAS would need to approve it.

i was listening to a podcast the other day, and they said, Man city were given a 2 year ban knowing after appeals it will be dropped to a 1 year ban. which is pointless for a club like that. one season off from champions league football just means the players will get a midweek break

Don’t agree the the team coming 5th qualifying for the Champions League if Man C aren’t allowed to enter.

It’s bad enough 2nd, 3rd & 4th being eligible. How are they “champions?”

Just change the name :(
