I see big Ken

I see big ken ( Zohore) is still missing sitters £8m is possibly the best bit of business we ever done. What was that one purple patch he had all about? Set him up for life. #wba #baggies I view Murphy exactly the same as I did big ken. Take the cash and cut losses.

Should have sold him when he was valued at £15m (if he ever really was). Looks like we are not the only club that doesn't play to his strengths. Never rated him and he has scored just 36 goals since turning pro almost 10 years ago to the day. Plenty of fans on this forum blamed our style of play not suiting him. Looks to me as if he has yet to find a club that plays the right sort of football to suit him. It could be that the problem is with him rather than the clubs.

I'd start him ahead if anyone we have to be honest.

sorry mate but you keep measuring by goals, there is more to it.. we Cardiff City looked far more threatening with him than without him.. and won more games which nobody seems remotely interested in when it comes to talking about forwards...

Not just goals, although to me that should be well up there for your main striker. I also thought he was useless in the air which is also a weakness for your main target man, but my biggest gripe was that I also thought he was lazy. It was this lack of effort that made me criticise him a lot, and that is not something I have ever done with any other City player as far as I can remember. He appeared disinterested at times, but that's just my opinion, and I know I have always been in the minority where Zohore is concerned. I would be surprised if we hear much of him in the future, certainly not in this country anyway. Now I've said that he will probably be the top scorer in the PL next season. ;)

he is never going to be a top scorer anywhere mate.. but as for the goalscoring it really depends on how you set up and what the manager wants out of any player. Ken caused defenders concern, actually brought players into the game and dragged the opposition all over the place.. but did look disinterested at times and always gave the impression there was more to come . truth be told if he had all what people wanted he wouldn't have been playing 2nd tier in the first place as he has most of the attributes required to be prem..im not saying i wouldn't like a top goal scorer but its not the bee all, when we have had one we tend to be bottom half..

Agree there. That was the one thing I always gave him credit for, holding the ball up and bringing others into play. I hoped that his golden spell when everything he hit seemed to end up in the back of the net would return. Unfortunately there was something missing for me, but in hindsight £15m would have been a good bit of business if were actually offered that as was reported at the time. Not my money though so not really bothered how much he went for. I think we could do with someone like Warboys here for the final push, although at 70 he may have lost a bit of pace.

Peltier also on bench after WBA made 9 changes from last League game, can’t see them giving him a new contract in Premier League.
Big Ken did score in injury time but again seems fourth choice striker so 8m was a great deal for us!

personally id have preferred him here and not bought glatzel and vassell..
as for Pelts I think its pretty clear he would have been released by us this coming window. but also thought it was too big a leap of faith by Harris trusting Jazz to be available for 18 consecutive games.{ something he has yet to do in his career } but the Sanderson loan seems to have come to our rescue..

I agree regarding Glatzel and Vassell but I can see why the club sold him at 8m and only 1 year left on his contract.

I personally see Ken how a lot of people here see Tomlin. If Tomlin hadn’t scored this season but played every game that he’s played, the fans would still call for him to have his contract extension that he has now earned. I love Tomlin, obviously, Tomlin would have a field day if Ken was in front of him on a regular basis. If Ken and Tomlin played enough they would eventually be in sync similar to how you see Tomlin linking up with Patti, Glatzel, Ward, practically anybody who we chuck up front, he’s built a decent partnership. I feel Zohore is as much of a loss to this team as Bruno & Gunnarson are.
