MY VIEW / OPINION:
ONCE AGAIN CARDIFF CITY CONCEDED GOALS SO EARLY ON & WERE CHASING THE GAME / BUT FAIR PLAY CITY FOUGHT BACK AND THE SECOND-HALF CITY WENT FOR THE WIN.
A draw was a fair result for both teams at full-time.
Cardiff have now only got 2pts from their last 12pts (No win in last 4 games)and need to start winning again if they want to make the play-offs.
A very exciting game over all.
JOE RALLS Man of the match
Callum Paterson excellent game, strong challenges and everywhere
First-half: Once again City sloppy start and were soon 0-2 down

but what a comeback 2-2 half-time

City if I am honest did not deserve 2-2 at half-time.
Second-half: City improved vastly, it was end to end and anyones game.
Cardiff City went in to this game after only collecting 1pt from their last 9pts, but still only 6pts below the play-offs.

5th minCardiff City 0-1 Brentford (Racic)

Some succinct build-up play from Brentford lead to City conceding a corner, the ball floated in and Dalsgaard’s shot wa blocked by Sanderson, ball fell to Racic and he buried it!
After 20mins Cardiff finally started playing in the Brentford half and Paterson let fly from 30 yards. He catched it sweetly but it’s deflected behind.
21st min GOAL! Cardiff City 0-2 Brentford (Mbeumo)

Bryan Mbeumo whipped it with his left foot over the wall and into the corner.
31st min Junior Hoilett got City back in the game 1-2

Vaulks slipped in Adomah with a lovely one-two on the right-hand side and the winger whipped in a delightful cross to the back post, where Hoilett got the better of Mbeumo and headed home from point-blank range to halve the deficit.

Then Cardiff goalie Smitthies was called in to action and made a great save

45th min Joe Ralls 2-2

Sanderson whipped in a brilliant cross, but Paterson loses his footing and cannot latch on to the end of it.
Brentford cleared for a throw-in, but Vaulks’ long throw is flicked on to Ralls at the back post and he buries it.

H/T 2-2

Cardiff started the half much better

68th min Joe Bennett missed a sitter in front of goal, just had to tap in to an empty goal and missed

Smitthies has had to make a couple of good saves.
80th min Joe Ralls came off for Danny Ward.
City finished strongly
